The Food Recovery Network (FRN) launched its first national campaign to raise awareness about hunger and food waste. The campaign is titled “More Students. Less Waste” and began during Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. One goal was to get more students to pledge to start new chapters of FRN, which donates food from college campus dining halls that would go to waste to America’s hungry and homeless. 12 students have already said they will start new chapters on major campuses across the country.
