Fresh Healthy Vending LLC of San Diego, CA named San Francisco, CA-based popchips as its best selling “snack of the year.”

Cincinnati-based Pierre Foods, Inc. announced the Smart Picks line of more nutritious menu options will be ready to serve in school cafeterias this August. Products will include a variety of items that have one or more of the following attributes: reduced sodium, a good source of protein, zero grams of trans fat, no hydrogenated oils, made with whole grains, a good source of fiber and reduced fat.

Waialua, HI-based Waialua Soda Works, an old-fashioned soda company, is now available in 41 Whole Foods Market stores across California, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii and will be represented by Presence Marketing/Dynamic Presence in the Southern Pacific region.

San Francisco, CA-based Diamond Foods, Inc.’s Kettle Brand Baked Potato Chips received top ranking in a recent San Francisco Chronicle taste test, and also earned a spot in the Taster’s Choice Hall of Fame.

Teeccino Caffé, based in Santa Barbara, CA has launched a new interactive Web site, www.teeccino.com, which includes consumer reviews, professional endorsements, videos, recipes to download, contests for customers links to Teeccino’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada-based Manitoba Harvest Hemp Foods & Oils earned the 2010 Best New Product Award and the 2010 Company of the Year Award from the Manitoba Food Processors Association.
