According to the USDA’s latest organic dairy market report, organic milk now accounts for 3.2% of all milk sales. Organic sales had risen nearly 15% over the previous year-to-date figure, to 352 million pounds.

Lundberg Family Farms, Richvale, CA, announces the opening of a new, 100% solar energy powered warehouse, featuring 1,690 panels atop its 37,558 square-foot warehouse. The panels are expected to produce 500,000 kWh of green electricity.

Beaverton Foods, Hillsboro, OR, acquired Florence, OR-based Pacific Farms, in order to expand its presence in the wasabi products marketplace.

The Original Line brand of Fair Trade Certified tea from Choice Organic Teas, Seattle, WA, has been redesigned with new packaging for the first time since 1989. The 26 tea varieties started appearing in stores January 2011, with a revamped logo, new design features and individually labeled envelopes.
