The American Vegetarian Association (AVA) has awarded Eggland’s Best eggs for the 13th consecutive year with its Global Certification. Eggland’s Best Eggs is the first and only brand of eggs to earn the certification by the AVA. The purpose of the AVA is to create a certification program that is widely recognized as a way for vegetarian-minded consumers to choose the most accurate products when shopping for vegetarian options.

“At the American Vegetarian Association, we only honor healthy, quality products that meet our strict vegetarian guidelines,” said Len Torine, executive director at the American Vegetarian Association. “Eggland’s Best aligns perfectly with what our organization looks for due to their commitment to providing customers with the best quality, freshness, taste and nutrition.”

The recurring certification of Eggland’s Best eggs by the AVA provides customers with confidence that when Eggland’s Best eggs are purchased, customers know that they are acquiring the best vegetarian product available.

“We are honored to once again be certified by the American Vegetarian Association,” said Charlie Lanktree, president and CEO of Eggland’s Best. “We have strived to provide a superior egg with better taste, better nutrition and better freshness for 25 years, and being recognized as the only egg on the list by this prestigious association year after year confirms we are meeting the highest of standards.”

Available in Classic, Cage Free, Organic, Hard-Cooked and Peeled and Liquid Egg White varieties, Eggland’s Best eggs are known to contain five times more vitamin D, more than double the omega-3’s, 25 percent less saturated fat, ten times more vitamin E and three times more vitamin B12 than other store bought eggs. Along with receiving the AVA Global Certification, Eggland’s Best Eggs is also celebrating its 25th year of providing eggs with superior freshness, quality, nutrients and taste
