Agape Health Products, based in Huntington Beach, CA, announced that founder Robert D. Stanfield turned over the company to his daughter and her husband, Kim and Luis Berbari. The firm’s Perfect 7 products will continue to be available. According to the company, the change is welcome by the Stanfield family, and the Berbaris will investigate new ways to grow the company as they “continue supplying longtime clients with the Perfect 7 products that have become a big part of so many people’s lives.”

Terese Mansell is now the director of Nutrition Formulators, Inc.’s digestive health and wellness division. The firm is based in Miami Lakes, FL. Mansell was formerly the president of National Enzyme Company.

Earthbound Farm of San Juan Bautista, CA now has a new director of plant quality, food safety and organic integrity: Joe Holt, who has been the director of quality assurance at both Gold Kist and Pilgrim’s Pride.

National Enzyme Co., headquartered in Forsyth, MO, promoted Richard Haines to director of human resources and administration and Amanda Lumley to customer support manager. In other news, Gary Shap joined the company as national accounts manager and is in charge of both domestic and international sales accounts.

Poppy Davis is now the executive director of the Ecological Farming Association, based in Watsonville, CA. Davis most recently served in the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Nutraceuticals International LLC of Elmwood Park, NJ opened a third office in Guadalajara, Mexico, which will be run by sales team member, Arturo Elias.

Champion Nutrition of Sunrise FL, promoted Michael Carrubba to the position of director of sales.

In Memoriam

Norman Katz, vice president of sales at Comax Flavors passed away at the beginning of April. He was 67. Katz had been a Comax employee for 33 years.
