Kelly Krause is now the CEO and managing partner of Atlantic Natural Foods of Nashville, NC.

James C. Griffiths, Ph.D., vice president of scientific and international affairs, for Council for Responsible Nutrition, chaired a half-day symposium at the 53rd Annual Meeting of the Society of Toxicology on “Improving the Safety of Dietary Supplements and Natural Health Products by Assessing Effects in Humans.”

Jacqueline Sherrer joined Kyowa Hakko USA of New York, NY, as nutritional sales manager for the southwest region.

Adina Fast is now the Canadian Sales Manager for derma e of Simi Valley, CA.

Activz Whole-Food Nutrition of Salt Lake City, UT, announced that David Christensen is its new president. Christensen was the executive vice president of Food for Health International, the parent company of Activz, and has been involved in formulating, developing and manufacturing the Activz line.

In Memoriam

William P. Betz passed away on January 29, 2014, at the age of 83. Betz bought Penn Herb Co. in 1962; he was the pupil of the store’s original founder, Konstanty Kalkosinski, a naturopathic physician. Betz made it his mission to help his Philadelphia community learn about how to use natural remedies to support good health.
