AIDP, Inc. of City of Industry, CA was awarded a patent for Magtein’s “Magnesium compositions and uses thereof for metabolic disorders” (Patent 8,163,301).

The September 2012 issue of International Journal of Medical Sciences published a meta-analysis of 20 studies that concluded, “bitter orange extract and p-synephrine increase metabolism and energy expenditure,” “when taken for periods of time up to 12 weeks may result in modest weight loss” and “p-synephrine alone or in combination with caffeine does not appear to produce significant adverse cardiovascular effects or pose a risk to human health at doses commonly ingested orally.” The study was written by Sidney J. Stohs, Ph.D., Harry G. Preuss, M.D., and Mohd Shara, Pharm.D., Ph.D.
