Hain Celestial Recognizes American Heroes

Lake Success, NY—The Hain Celestial Group announced its partnership with Folds of Honor, a national nonprofit dedicated to providing educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members. More than 1.4 million dependents of American service members have been affected by the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq alone, and 85% of those dependents don’t qualify for federal educational assistance, according to a press release from Hain. Civilian organizations like Folds of Honor, which was founded by Major Dan Rooney in 2007, are dedicated to helping those families.

To support the cause, Hain Celestial has pledged ongoing partnership with the charity, and will donate a portion of the proceeds from select Hain Celestial products—Garden of Eatin’, Live Clean, Sensible Portions, and TERRA. Starting September in retailers nationwide,  select products from the Hain portfolio will be adorned with patriotic packaging and the Folds of Honor logo. Hain Celestial’s goal, according to the release: to be able to continue to grow the company’s commitment year over year so one day no child of a fallen or disabled service member ever has to worry about their education.

“Folds of Honor is proud to team up with Hain Celestial this fall and for the future to spread the word about our cause in providing educational scholarships to deserving families of military men and women,” said Folds of Honor VP of Development, Larry Robinson, in the release. “Together, we will create a brighter future.”

Hain Celestial Chief Commercial Officer Chris Boever added, “We are honored to kick off a partnership with Folds of Honor to help empower and educate the families of America’s service members. This partnership came about as a way to give back across various Hain Celestial brands and we look forward to helping to provide a future full of upcoming opportunities.”
