Natural Grocers Raises $260,000 for Local Food Banks

Lakewood, CO—Natural Grocers and its customers raised $260,000 for local food banks during the store’s 65th anniversary celebration in August. The fundraising success was driven by multiple initiatives, including a 5-cent reusable bag contribution, anniversary sales donations, and customer generosity, the company reported. The donations will provide high-quality food via Natural Grocers gift cards.

“We are humbled by the response from customers and the hard work from our good4uSM Crew in making August our best fundraising month ever for local food banks in the cities and towns we serve,” said Kemper Isely, Natural Grocers’ Co-President, in a press release. “At a time when the need for nutritious groceries and high-quality essentials is immense, we are proud to be able to service our communities with gift cards so they can feed themselves and their families in healthful ways.”
