DOG FOOD WITH CURCUMIN
A new Adult Maintenance Dog Food is available from Solid Gold Health Products. Sun Dancer contains the joint health ingredient curcumin, which the company notes has thousands of supporting research studies listed on PubMed, a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine.

The food has a chicken and white fish base, with tapioca and quinoa to control gas. According to the company, it is helpful with tear stains, ear infections, bladder stones and chewing at the feet. The food bag’s one-way valve lets air out, not in, preserving shelf life for a year prior to opening. The product is available in 4 lb., 15 lb. and 33 lb. hermetically sealed, vacuum-packed bags.

The added ingredient, curcumin, comes from the root of the turmeric plant, native to India. The company cites curcumin’s 4,000-year history of addressing a variety of health issues, both internally and externally. In the book Real Cause, Real Cure, Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum of the Fibromyalgia and Fatigue Centers writes of how curcumin blocks inflammatory cytokines, decreases allergic inflammation and strengthens cells against bacteria.
