Once Again Nut Butter’s line of Non-GMO Project Verified and Certified Gluten-Free almond and cashew butter flavors are now available in 12–ounce glass jars. Since the company’s products have no preservatives, the glass is advantageous for its ability to provide a superior barrier, extending shelf-life and preventing spoilage. The jars are made with 50% recycled glass, from furnaces with bricks free of heavy metals. The furnaces are also fueled mostly with oxygen, which the company says dramatically decreases the amount of nitrogen oxide produced compared to traditionally-fired furnaces. While both products are kosher certified, unsweetened and sodium-free, Creamy Roasted Almond Butter is dry roasted and made of unblanched organic almonds and Organic Cashew Butter is expeller-pressed with organic sunflower oil and is made of organic cashews.
