Washington D.C. — Two new board members have been added to the Institute of Natural Medicine (INM). The INM’s mission is to educate and promote in order to incorporate naturopathic medicine into the healthcare system. Jaclyn Chasse, N.D., president of the America Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) and Pattie Ptak, owner of Practice on Purpose, are the two newly appointed board members.
Along with being president of the AANP, Chasse is the present vice president of scientific and regulatory affairs with Emerson Ecologics in Manchester NH, and also owns Perfect Fertility, an educational and clinical practice, which concentrates on infertility utilizing an integrative method. Chasse is an American Herbal Products Association trustee, as well as the most recent president of the New Hampshire Association of Naturopathic Doctors. Chasse has written several articles for lay and peer-reviewed publications and is a presenter at conferences globally where she speaks about women’s infertility, health and pediatrics. Her extensive background consists of teaching and strategic leadership, lab sciences and clinical practice.
Ptak created an online marketing and business training course, Practice Success Academy, for holistic and integrative health practitioners who hope to gain more flexibility, money and time in their own practice. Practice Success is just one of many in-office and online programs that Ptak has created over the past 23 years. In more recent years a networking group and business development group geared towards leaders in health and wellness fields and New York Times best-selling authors called The Mindshare Collaborative, has been led by Ptak. Along with these accomplishments, Ptak is a leading practice development consultant as well as being a speaker at health and wellness industry events.
