Carlson FamilyArlington Heights, IL—Founded by John and Susan Carlson in 1965, Carlson Laboratories, still a family-owned and -operated business, is proud to celebrate its 45th anniversary. The Carlson family was aware of the powerful antioxidant benefits associated with vitamin E, especially in the d-alpha-tocopheryl succinate form. After seeing the health benefits Susan’s father experienced from taking this form of vitamin E, Carlson Laboratories was born with the vision of sharing these health benefits with everyone. The company has since expanded from its original vitamin E to include a full line of vitamins, minerals, fish oils and many other nutritional supplements.

The Carlson daughters, Carilyn and Kirsten, became involved with the company starting in college. Their younger, fresher perspective on the market influenced the development of new products and enhanced the look and feel of the Carlson Web site.

To celebrate its 45th anniversary, the company hosted a booth cocktail party at Natural Products Expo West at the Anaheim Convention Center on Saturday, March 13. Carlson offered several show specials and featured promotions of its vitamin E and antioxidant products, which will run until May.

John Carlson, president, stated, “We feel such enormous gratitude to our loyal customers in helping us achieve this landmark in our company’s history. Some of our customers have been with us since our beginning. Without our customers, we could not offer the depth of products that we have today. We’re looking forward to continuing to grow our company and celebrating our 50thanniversary in five short years.”
