Washington, D.C.—The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) has opened registration forThe Workshop: CRN’s Day of ScienceandThe Conference: CRN’s Annual Symposiumfor the Dietary Supplement Industry, taking place Wednesday, November 6 through Saturday, November 9, at the Park Hyatt Aviara in Carlsbad, California.

This year’s theme—Destination: Vitality—celebrates 25 years since the enactment of DSHEA and invites industry stakeholders to look toward the next 25 years.

Preliminary featured speakers include:
  • Dr. William Li—physician, scientist, and author of Eat to Beat Disease, who will share connections made between nutrition, disease prevention, and health promotion.
  • Jeff Kreisler—best-selling author and financial columnist, offering behavioral science insights to help shed light on consumer use of supplements and compliance with wellness regimes.
  • Dr. Anil Gupta and Haiyan Want—experts on global trends and business strategy and co-authors of the book The Silk Road Rediscovered: How Indian and Chinese Companies are Becoming Globally Stronger by Winning in Each Other’s Markets, the two will examine the challenges and opportunities China and India offer.

The Workshopwill examine healthy aging, personalized nutrition, and advances in nutrition research tools.

Thursday morning opens with an address from a representative from FDA. Other activities include networking, a full day of sessions, and Saturday’s “Breakfast With…” session—the speaker has yet to be announced, but previous speakers have included Joe Scarborough and Doris Kearns Goodwin.
