Orlando, FL—Ingredient Marketplace, hosted by Informa Exhibitions, pulled together nearly 2,400 international health, nutrition and beauty buyers in Orlando at the end of April. Some 45% of this group were first-time attendees.

As part of its educational program, Informa offered data and analysis from its Mind of the Consumer study, conducted alongside the Natural Marketing Institute. The group noted compared consumers’ reasons for using ingredients like omega-3s and probiotics, and compared them with suppliers’ perceptions of those reasons, signaling areas fir new opportunity. These include a need for “new delivery formats, user-friendly messaging of benefits and an emphasis on safety and efficacy” in finished products.

The program also included a one-day Probiotics Marketplace educational event, GMP training and sessions on healthy aging, sourcing transparency, sports nutrition and more.

The 2017 Ingredient Marketplace will be held April 18–20 at the Marriott World Center in Orlando.
