Kosherfest Draws Throngs to New Jersey

The KosherGuru held court at Kosherfest in the Meadowlands of N.J.

Secaucus, NJ — Kosherfest, the world’s biggest event for Kosher businesses, drew more than 350 exhibitors and more than 6,000 buyers to the Meadowlands Exposition Center Nov. 14 and 15.

The trade show focusing on certified Kosher foods and services was described by one attendee as “full of energy” and exhibitors included companies such as Angelic Bakehouse of Cudahy, WI, a producer of breads and products featuring sprouted ancient grains, and Beyond Better Foods, a Bronx, NY-manufacturer of dairy and gluten-free ice creams and snacks.

Jamie Geller, founder of the Kosher Media Network, author of several cookbooks, and host of online cooking show “Joy of Kosher,” provided live educational demonstrations. The three finalists from Geller’s second annual Kosher Masters Culinary Competition competed in front of a live audience in a “Chopped” style competition.

Kosherfest’s Best In Show title went to Kayco-Kedem Gino’s East Deep Dish Pizza. Other new product winners included Anderson International Foods Natural & Kosher Salad Toppings, Baker’s Choice Razzle Mix, B’gan Battered Apple Rings, De La Rosa Real Foods & Vineyards Ur Kasdim, and Elegant Desserts 12″ Salted Caramel Frizza.
