Washington, DC — Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s Hemp Farming Act of 2018 remains completely intact and will be included in the review of the overall 2018 Farm Bill by the U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee scheduled to begin June 13

Should the bill be signed into law as currently drafted, hemp would be permanently removed from the purview of the Controlled Substances Act, noted the U.S. Hemp Roundtable.

McConnell of Kentucky was joined in a bipartisan introduction by Sen. Ron Wyden (D-CO).

The U.S. Roundtable encourages supporters of the bill to use this website to register support for the Hemp Farming Act of 2018 with their legislators.
