Denver, CO—NestFresh has donated $10,000 to Feeding Tampa Bay in response to the damage done by Hurricane Michael, according to a press release.
Feeding Tampa Bay is part of the national Feeding America network. It provides food to hundreds of thousands of food insecure families in the ten-county area of West Central Florida, an area struck hard by Hurricane Michael. According to the press release, Feeding Tampa Bay has been “pivotal” in helping to rebuild areas damaged by the hurricane. NestFresh’s donation will directly help to support those efforts.
Brandy Gamoning, marketing manager for NestFresh, says, “It’s important to NestFresh that we do our part to support the communities we serve and be a force for good locally. Our donation to Feeding Tampa Bay is our way of doing just that, partnering with an organization that is just as dedicated to bettering the community as we are.”
NestFresh produces cage-free eggs. It was the first nationally distributed egg line to receive the Non-GMO Project Verified seal, and to offer liquid and dry egg products that are also Non-GMO Project Verified.
Feeding Tampa Bay is the largest food rescue and distribution organization in the community. It has distributed more than 100 million pounds of food in the past five years, enough to provide more than 3 million meals every month to those who would otherwise go hungry.
