Metuchen, NJ — Two new members have been added to Aker BioMarine. Aker BioMarine is an Antarctic krill fishing company that harvest and does sales and marketing of krill-based products. Kate Pastor, former president of Twinlab Health & Natural and EVP of TCC, and Elise Kaiser, former sales worker for NJ-based raw ingredient distributor Suan Farma, are the dedicated and experienced members joining Aker BioMarine to lead the Superba team.
Besides being the former president of Twinlab Health & Natural and EVP of TCC, Pastor has about 25 years of experience in the natural products business. She managed different aspects of the former company that included topics such as health, natural food and mass market. She joins Aker BioMarine as the senior vice president of sales.
“For me, Aker BioMarine is a great fit. From my earliest experience working in my mother’s health food store, I have grown up in the natural products marketplace. My deep passion for the industry and my experience in all channels of distribution, coupled with Aker BioMarine’s drive to represent the very best in ingredient suppliers make our association as natural as the industry we serve,” Pastor said.
Kaiser has shown her knowledge in the natural products industry by having nearly 14 years of experience in retail and product sales for a wide range of companies. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in holistic nutrition; the use of daily nutrition and eating habits to improve one’s health, and is desirous about natural products and their capability to make buyers’ lives better than ever.
“I am excited to start a new challenge within Aker BioMarine and look forward to working with Kate and the Superba team to deepen the brand’s presence in North America,” Elise said. “I am fortunate to be joining such a respected company that prides itself on top quality and is committed to sustainability.”
Todd Norton, VP Business Development at Aker BioMarine Antarctic and leader of Aker BioMarine’s global nutraceuticals, said “We are fortunate to bring in Kate and Elise, who are exceptionally talented. They bring a wealth of sales experience to our team and will help us expand our footprint in the US in a big way.”
