In MemoriamWendell J. Lundbergpassed away June 12 at the age of 85. He was the second oldest of four brothers who built Lundberg Family Farms. Lundberg was heavily involved with his local community, not only as an employer, but also as cofounder of the TriCounties Bank, which supports the local economy through mostly agricultural loans. He served as a director of the bank until his retirement in 2007.

Lundberg also served on advisory boards at California State University, Chico, where he received an honorary doctorate, as director of the Butte County  Rice  Growers  Association,  director  of  Trico  Bancshares,  member  of  the  California  Rice  Industry Committee, director of North State Crime Stoppers, president of the Chico Chapter Experimental Aircraft Association and elder of the Chico Evangelical Free Church.
