Anil Shrikhande, former president of Polyphenolics, received the “Career Award for Excellence in Innovation” from GNC.

Bradenton, FL-based HP Ingredients appointed Sara Vissers to the position of regional manager.

BGG of Irvine, CA, added two sales managers to its Eastern United States territory. Janelle Campana will be handling the Northeast territory and Angel Mendoza will be handling the Southeast territory heading as far west as Texas.

Alter Eco of San Francisco, CA, named Jason Berry as vice president of sales and Brett Fisher as Western sales manager.

Gary Romans is now the vice president of extracts and cosmetic ingredients business at MORRE-TEC Industries Inc. of Union, NJ. Meanwhile, William J. Ludlum was promoted to chief operating officer.

Bhakti of Boulder, CO, hired Sarah Bird as the company’s new CEO. Says the company, “Brook Eddy, Bhakti’s founder, will remain involved in the vision, innovation, culture, and serve as chairwoman of the board of directors.”
