Fosnavaag, Norway—The Directorate of Fisheries in Norway awarded RIMFROST a second license for krill harvest in Antarctica, according to a press release.

According to the press release, the license was awarded after an independent evaluation by the Norwegian Government based upon the following criteria: the ability to maintain Norwegian interests in Antarctica, maintain the environment in Antarctica, the company’s financial situation, and the company’s experience with krill harvest in Antarctica.

Stig Remøy, CEO and owner of RIMFROST, said, “With two licenses, RIMFROST will have two krill trawlers operating in Antarctica. We will continue to innovate and provide the market with new and interesting products.”
