Ananalysis from Fact.MRfound that the vegan yogurt market is expected to continue its growth, thanks to the health and wellness trend and vegan yogurt’s availability in a variety of flavors. The report projects growth at 4.8% CAGR during the period of 2018-2028.

Vegan yogurt sales increased by over 30,000 metric tons in 2018 over 2017, according to a release from Fact.MR. The report revealed that almond yogurt remains the bestseller, accounting for more than half of total vegan yogurt sales in 2018. This trend, too, is expected to prevail, as vegan yogurt companies continue to introduce new almond-milk based yogurt products to meet consumers’ taste preferences while enhancing the vegan yogurt’s nutritional value.

According to the release, the report found that households account for 80% of the consumption of vegan yogurt. The compact packaging allows the consumer to eat it on-the-go, making it a useful snack option. Vegan products are slowly gaining traction in food chains and restaurants, however.
