Misconduct Leads to Removal of Newman’s Own Foundation CEO; Interim CEO Named

Westport, CT–Newman’s Own Foundation has removed CEO and President Bob Forrester amid allegations of misconduct, according to the Chicago Tribune. As the Tribune reports, the foundation released a statement explaining that employees had complained of inappropriate behavior, which lead to an independent investigation that resulted in Forrester’s ousting.

Jennifer Smith Turner has been named as the interim president and CEO of Newman’s Own Foundation, and will work to continue the legacy of Paul Newman, who formed the foundation in 2005. The foundation is funded entirely through the profits and royalties of Newman’s Own products and, as noted on the website, since 1982 Paul Newman’s philanthropic efforts have lead to donations of more than $530 million to thousands of nonprofit organizations helping people in need around the world.
