Irvine, CA—Vitamer Labs will offer two new programs for its private label dietary supplements. First, the company will have a Double Verified Gluten Free line of premium supplements. Not only will the raw materials for these items be tested for gluten, but the finished products will also undergo gluten testing. Products that contain less than 10 ppm of gluten will be labeled with the new logo.

The manufacturer is also offering a melamine testing program to help address consumers’ reservations about buying pet and milk products (though the company sources its milk proteins from New Zealand and the United States). The firm’s Show Me the Whey and soy protein powders will also be tested to assure customers they contain no melamine (down to a concentration of 1 ppm).
