Increased awareness of the need to support the immune system has lead to greater demand for products with immune-supporting, wholesome ingredients, according to Nielsen data cited by Johnson & Johnson Innovation – JLABS (JLABS). In response, JLABS has launched the Next in Naturals QuickFire Challenge on Immune-Support. Innovators are invited to submit potential solutions inspired by nature that aim to support healthy immune systems in babies, children, or adults. The rewards for the best idea (or ideas): up to $50,000 in grant funding, one year of residency at an available JLABS, and the opportunity to engage with leadership from Johnson & Johnson Innovation.

JLABS announced that it was encouraging submissions for scientifically supported dietary supplements, including products that fit within the traditional Immune Support space and either contain unique ingredients or come in unique product forms; and natural-based wellness potential solutions in areas beyond traditional Immune Support including gut health and vitamins. JLABS also noted that product should be available for commercialization in existing retail channels within 6 to 18 months.

Applications are being accepted until September 18, 2020. For more information on criteria and to apply, go here.
