Decas Botanical Synergies partnered with Netherlands-based Medical Brands to obtain Class IIa medical device status for Cranberry-Active, a cranberry-based oral capsule for urinary tract health. It is the only such product in the European Economic Area that can be marketed with a medical claim for treating and preventing urinary tract infections.

Valensa International of Eustis, FL said its Parry Organic Spirulina Ingredient was certified under the U.S. Pharmacopoeia Dietary Ingredient Verification Program.

Westchester, IL-based Ingredion (formerly Corn Products International/National Starch Food Innovation) launched, for “capturing and communicating consumer needs in the area of clean label products.”

Stauber Performance Ingredients, Inc. of Fullerton, CA and an equity sponsor  purchased Florida, NY-based Pharmline, Inc. from Gadot Biochemical Industries.
