There are three new directors on the Washington, D.C.-based Natural Products Association’s Board: Frank Jaksch, president, CEO and co-founder of ChromaDex, Inc.; Michele Lobo, vice president of nutrition body care for Presence Marketing/Dynamic Presence; and John Montague, DC, founder and owner of Web Vitamins, Inc.

Kathy Lund was promoted to vice president of business development at AIDP of City of Industry, CA. In addition, Dave Dannenhold was promoted to senior vice president and Craig Napoli was promoted to director of specialty products.

Dr. S.K. Dash, adjunct professor at South Dakota State University and president of UAS Laboratories, presented “Selection Criteria for Probiotics” at Probiotics-2012 in November. This conference is an international probiotics event for scientists, researchers and industry.

Actress Emmanuelle Chriqui will act as Mineral Fusion’s spokesperson for North America. Mineral Fusion markets mineral makeup and other personal care products.

Danielle Citrolo, Pharm.D., joined Kyowa Hakko USA of New York, NY as manager of technical services.

Mickey Schuett is now the director of sales and business development for Neptune BioTechnology, based in Laval, QC, Canada.

The Hill newspaper has named John Shaw, Natural Products Association executive director and CEO, to its list of 2012 Top Lobbyists in Washington, D.C. He was named to the list in 2010 as well.

Cyvex Nutrition of Irvine, CA hired Jackie Brandt to be its strategic accounts sales manager.

Zanna McFerson, vice president and business director for Truvia, was appointed president of the International Stevia Council.

Life Extension of Fort Lauderdale, FL announced that Rey Searles is now its vice president of sales and marketing. Previously, he was the company’s director of sales and marketing.
