Earthcycle Packaging and Sunset Foods (an Illinois-based retailer) joined up to offer shoppers a variety of produce packaged in compostable material such as Earthcycle’s eco-conscious palm fiber trays. These trays will decompose within three months. The pair also educated consumers about sustainability in honor of Earth Day.
Derry, NH-based MegaFood issued a voluntary product recall of its Essentials Joint Strength formula because the company discovered the product did not contain the amount of chondroitin sulfate listed on the label. The recall affects four lots, and any affected retailers were notified. The error was traced back to a supplier error; that raw material supplier is no longer used by MegaFood.
