In Memoriam
Herbalist, educator and environmentalist Cascade Anderson Geller passed away at the beginning of May; she was 59. She was a founder of Everett House Healing Center in Portland and taught at the National College of Naturopathic (now Natural) Medicine, Bastyr University, Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and the California School of Herbal Studies. Geller was on the United Plant Savers advisory board, founded two food co-ops, an herb store, and four political and social activism groups; she also worked to protect parks and land from toxic herbicides.
