Clinton, MI—Natural food company Eden Foods, based here, just announced that it will be relocating its West Coast warehouse facility to Fremont, CA, 12 miles south of its current location in Union City. Eden notes that this new location will allow for easier on/off trucking access, as well as decreasing trucking times for customers by 30 minutes, helping to save gas. But, perhaps the biggest draw is its energy efficiency measures. The 45,000 square foot facility has been completely renovated with green technology like internal and external LED lighting, that has 70% less power consumption than regular lighting, and a white membrane roof system that reduces HVAC costs by 25%.
