The marijuana users of America also have their day Friday, April 20th. Called - unsurprisingly - 420, its celebrants say it’s like Christmas, Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July – all wrapped up in one.
What will observants be doing?
Skipping work, and spending lots of money on munchies. At least, that’s according to a survey of 1,000 American adults conducted andreportedby LendEDU.
Some key findings of the survey include the following:
- Between the product itself, food munchies, and paraphernalia, the average 420 consumer is expected to spend $146, with $71 of that going toward the actual product
- 36% of respondents are taking off work Friday, while 20% of those going to work plan on going into the office under the influence
- 55% of respondents have already accounted for 420 related expenses in their monthly budgets
