Alpha Packaging is a manufacturer of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and polylactic acid (PLA) bottles and jars for the nutritional supplement, pharmaceutical and personal care industries. The company’s bottles range in size from 1 ounce to 1 gallon, and all of the resins, colorants and other additives used in its manufacturing process are FDA approved. Alpha Packaging has five manufacturing plants strategically located across the United States, one plant in The Netherlands, and a stateof- the-art container decorating facility in Winona, MN. What’s New?

Alpha is an innovator in the area of sustainable packaging: The company makes custom bottles using NatureWorks PLA®, a compostable corn-based resin, and continues to work on next-generation sustainable packaging solutions for our customers, including recycled content for PET and HDPE bottles. Alpha is a Wal-Mart approved vendor supplying recyclable nutritional packaging to help companies meet new sustainability guidelines.

In 2010, Alpha introduced four new stock packaging lines for the personal care industry:

• HDPE Boston Rounds in 8-oz, 12-oz and 16-oz sizes.

• HDPE Cosmo Rounds in 4-oz, 8oz, 12-oz and 16-oz sizes.

• HDPE Cylinders in 8-oz, 12-oz and 16-oz sizes.

• PET Metric Oblongs in 125-ml, 200-ml, 350-ml, 425-ml and 500-ml sizes (with more sizes to come).

 The company also introduced a line of 11 HDPE canisters (each with three different neck options) and numerous line extensions for its HDPE and PET vitamin packers in 2010.
