Organic Produce Network (OPN) announced the addition of Rachelle Schulken to its team as Vice President of Events. Schulken, who will oversee the growth of the Organic Grower Summit (OGS), joins OPN with more than 14 years of experience in the fresh produce industry, where she achieved success in trade show management and execution, branding and marketing skills, as well as sustainability program development and reporting.
Paul Hyso has joined Lily of the Desert as the new Marketing Manager, replacing Kim McClure. Hyso is a veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1995 to 2000, after which he attended the University of Texas at Arlington, earning a degree in Communications. He spent seven years at a local television station in Albuquerque, NM, where he was honored with the 2007 New Mexico Broadcasters Association Best Photography Award.
NotCo announced that Meredith Madden has joined the company as U.S. General Manager. Madden will work to drive the brand’s integrated marketing strategies, infuse strategic operations and broaden its category growth efforts in the retail and food service channels as it continues to grow its presence in the U.S. market.
Andrea Baillo is now the Chief Scientific Officer at Open Book Extracts (OBX). Baillo previously held the position of Vice President of Research and Product Innovation. In her new role, Baillo will oversee all research and development efforts at OBX, including ingredient R&D, product development, and ingredient and product safety and efficacy research. She will lead global research engagements with partners, clients, academia, and non-governmental organizations and help build the pipeline of science and technology talent at OBX as well as provide leadership of the OBX product and R&D teams.
The Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA) announced senior staff updates in its Communications Department and Educational Foundation. Mike Tringale has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs. Tringale, who joined CHPA in 2016, brings more than 25 years of experience in healthcare communications, public affairs, marketing, and research. In this new role, Tringale will lead CHPA’s communications and public affairs function, which includes media relations, corporate communications, and public affairs strategy. In addition, Mary Leonard has been promoted to Executive Director of CHPA’s Educational Foundation. Leonard, who joined CHPA in 2011, has been an integral part of CHPA’s Educational Foundation since 2017, having previously served as the association’s Director of Marketing Communications and as a Marketing Manager since 2011. Leonard will lead CHPA’s philanthropic arm to achieve its mission to empower consumers to choose and use self-care products safely and effectively.
