MMA Superstar Joins Safety Shot as Brand Ambassador

Safety Shot, Inc., has entered an agreement with mixed martial arts (MMA) superstar Jorge Masvidal, who will serve as a brand ambassador. Safety Shot is a patented beverage formulated to help people feel better faster by reducing blood alcohol content and boosting clarity. Widely recognized as a superstar in the MMA community, Masvidal competed professionally for 20 years from 2003 to 2023. He fought in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he holds the record for the fastest knockout in UFC history at five seconds and won the UFC BMF Championship belt. Masvidal created Gambred Bareknuckle MMA promotion, which holds matches viewed by millions. Safety Shot also announced becoming a ring sponsor of the matches for the next 12 months.

Cargill Oil Refineries Connect Customers to RSPO-certified Palm Oil

Cargill will be one of the first, large-scale U.S. suppliers to exclusively offer palm oil certified by the Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), the company announced. As of October 2023, the company will no longer offer conventional palm oil in its U.S. portfolio. Cargill has supplied RSPO-certified palm oil since 2005, and in December 2020, converted its Charlotte, N.C. refinery to 100% segregated palm oil. By January 2024, all customers buying palm oil from one of Cargill’s U.S. refineries will be receiving RSPO-certified palm oil, sourced from either mass balance or segregated supply chains. Cargill invested $200 million in a new palm oil refinery in Lampung, Indonesia. The Lampung refinery sources palm oil directly from Cargill-owned plantations and mills and selected third-party mills which are compliant with Cargill’s policy on sustainability. 

ADM Aims to Advance Biodiversity Research and Education

At the E.O. Wilson Biodiversity Foundation’s Half-Earth Day celebration, ADM announced  a $1 million contribution to champion research and education to better understand the world and nurture future biodiversity stewardship. The donation is being made to the E.O. Wilson Biodiversity Foundation through ADM Cares, ADM’s corporate social investment program. The funds will support the Foundation’s core initiative, the Half-Earth Project, in expanding two research and education initiatives in the coming year: The Half-Earth Chairs & Scholars program nurtures the best of biodiversity scholarship by investing in students and researchers around the world who are advancing biodiversity science to support conservation in landscapes of global importance. 

SuanNutra, Inc. Launches in U.S.

SuanNutra, the nutraceutical business arm of SuanFarma, S.A., announced the formation of its subsidiary in the U.S., SuanNutra, Inc,. to serve the North American nutraceutical ingredient market. The company already has an operation in New Jersey, and recently inaugurated a new facility in Utah to serve the high demand from customers on the West Coast. Both facilities are certified USDA Organic and Fair for Life.
