Indena’s Mirtoselect and Enovita ingredients follow the company’s vision of a circular economy. Mirtoselect, a bilberry extract, aims to support a zero waste goal. Processing a high level of bilberries (over 3,000 tons/year) would typically generate over 400 tons of waste. Indena is able to process all materials, leading to 400 tons of recycled vegetal material every year. The juice of the bilberry is used by Indena to produce a nutraceutical product.  Enovita is a grape seed extract that supports blood pressure and mood. The grapes used are sourced from Champagne and other French wine regions, located near the company's production site. Residual materials from the grapes are transformed into seed oil for the food industry as well as fertilizers used to nurture the soil.
