Washington, D.C.—The Natural Products Association (NPA) is once again organizing and hosting its annual federal government advocacy Fly-In on Capitol Hill. On Wednesday, May 22, natural products industry representatives will gather to meet with members of Congress and explain how public policy can impact the thousands of Americans who are part of the industry, as well as the millions of Americans who safely use nutritional supplements. Retailers, brands, suppliers, and all industry stakeholders from across the country are welcome to attend this national advocacy conference, and take advantage of this opportunity to make an impact.
“Engagement matters; I cannot stress enough how important 2024 is for this industry,” said Daniel Fabricant, Ph.D., President and CEO of the NPA. “If you want a bright future for the natural products industry, this is a must-attend event. With razor-thin margins in the House and Senate, an important election this November, and monumental issues for the industry such as FDA’s reorganization, it is of the utmost importance that industry stakeholders attend this Fly-In.”
Heather Wainer, WholeFoods Magazine Publisher and VP of Media, has attended Fly-In day in the past. "This is a well organized and invigorating day that lets us have a voice in our government and how it impacts our industry," Wainer shared. "We get to discuss the issues that affect us all and learn how each and everyone of us can make a difference. If we do not fight for ourselves, who will?"
