ADM, NBGC, & Smucker Expand Regenerative Agriculture
ADM subsidiary, Golden Peanut, The National Black Growers Council (NBGC), and The J.M. Smucker Co. are partnering to expand regenerative agriculture practices across 20,000 peanut acres, 5,000 of which will be affiliated with the National Black Growers Council per year, in the southeast section of the United States. The three-year project will provide direct financial support to farmers, easy processes and cutting-edge technologies to secure low barriers to entry, and a wide range of support and counsel from internal and third-party experts for farmers. The practices that will be incorporated through the initiative include, continuous living roots (cover crops), improved fertilizer and pesticide efficiency and use of reduced tillage practices. "The importance of NBGC and ADM's collaboration is bridging the gap to make our producers more efficient, our yields higher and manage our data collection in a productive way," said NBGC board member Keith White.

Women In Nutraceuticals (WIN) has extended the deadline to nominate individuals and companies for its first ever WIN Awards event. Nomination for the awards will run through midnight on July 12th for the following categories:

Stratum Nutrition Enters Agreement with Sibelius Natural Products
Sibelius Natural Products will be the exclusive UK distributor of Stratum Sage Extract for cognitive health and NEM, the eggshell membrane for joint health. NEM, which is derived from the inner membrane of chicken eggshells, is ideal for dietary supplements aimed at providing mobility and joint support while Stratum Sage Extract is a non-GMO Salvia officinalis (sage) extract that supports a healthy memory. “Stratum is thrilled to partner with Sibelius for distribution of NEM and sage in the UK market,” shared Chris Haynes, Senior Director of Global Sales at Stratum.
Sabinsa Receives Recognition, Facility Gets NSF Certified
Sami-Sabinsa Group's Hassan Unit 1 facility has been certified for meeting NSF cGMP requirements. With convenient access to ports on the east and west coasts of India, the company's eighth facility was opened on March 17, 2023 by the late Dr. Muhammed Majeed, Chairman and Founder, Sami-Sabinsa Group. The 10 acre state-of-the-art greenfield facility is equipped with 18 reactors (including 8 glass-line reactors), two hydrogenators, and other specialized equipment such as agitated nutsche filter dryers (ANFD), centrifuges, and Rotocone Vacuum Dryers and is capable of producing 88 tons of Active Nutraceutical Ingredients (ANI) and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) per annum and 23 different Active Nutraceutical Ingredients (ANI) and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) & intermediates, including Calebin-A, Resveratrol, SabiWhite, Pterostilbene, Cosmoperine, 1, 2- Hexanediol, 1,2-Octanediol, Diindolylmethane (DIM), lndole-3-Carbinol, and Ferulic Acid.
“While this is the youngest factory, it by no means lacks the safety, quality and rigor required to produce the finest ingredients we have to offer, to add now the confirmation of regulatory compliance our customers expect from us,” said Shaheen Majeed, Sami-Sabinsa Global Managing Director and CEO.
In other news, the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) recognized Sabinsa for its exceptional contributions towards global public health through the advancement of USP standards and for providing candidate documentary and reference standards that assisted USP in reaching important milestones in 2023. Both entities have worked together for over 20 years on initiatives related to reference standards—meticulously characterized substances used to assess the identity, potency, quality, and purity of dietary supplements and active pharmaceutical ingredients.
Bioiberica Collagen Receives GRAS Status
Bioiberica's native type II collagen for joint health, Collavant n2, has secured self-determined GRAS status after an independent panel of scientists made up of professors from the University of Illinois and expert toxicologists evaluated the ingredients safety data and determined its use as an ingredient in conventional foods. To celebrate the achievement, Bioiberica will be highlighting the product and its joint health benefits at this year's IFT First exhibition in Chicago from July 14-17. Fi Asia returns to Indonesia
The food ingredients event, Fi Asia, is taking place in Jakarta this September. Nutiani and Ipsos have shared the findings of their latest Consumer Health and Nutrition Index. Key points from the report include:

With the number of individuals aged 65 and older expected to grow to one in six people across the globe by 2030, nutrition brands are focusing on meeting the health demands of current seniors and younger consumers looking to manage the aging process through nutrition.
