Washington, DC—On Thursday, May 8, the Natural Products Association (NPA) will be hosting its Annual Fly-in Day event. A premier day of advocacy for members of the natural products industry, participants travel to the nation's capital to meet with members of Congress and discuss the public policy impacting the industry and the millions of individuals who participate in a daily dietary supplement regiment. The annual event, which is a centerpiece of the NPA advocacy program, creates an opportunity for attendees to advocate to protect their industry and customers. Thousands of supporters have attended the event over the last decade to learn more about advocacy, to network with industry peers, and share knowledgeable, thoughtful, and persuasive input with key policymakers.

This year's event agenda will consist of:

"Advocacy matters. With a return of the Trump Administration it is critically important for industry stakeholders to attend our fly-in day,” shared Daniel Fabricant, Ph.D., President and CEO of NPA. “From strengthening the supply chain to protecting intellectual property, and expanding access to dietary supplements, it is of the upmost importance for the industry to participate in shaping the policies that will decide the next generation for the industry.”

Heather Wainer, WholeFoods Magazine Publisher and Chief Business Officer, has attended NPA's advocacy day and stresses the benefits for retailers, brands, suppliers, and all industry stakeholders from across the country. At the 2024 event, she shared, "We discussed the issues that affect us all and learned how each and every one of us can make a difference. If we do not fight for ourselves, who will?" Take a look at issues that were addressed at the 2024 event.
