In March for International Women’s Day, the question Who is a woman who has inspired your career? #IWD25 was trending on LinkedIn, and industry members gave special shoutouts to the mentors who have made the positive difference. Women In Nutraceuticals (WIN) was also part of the #IWD25 conversation, and shared inspiration and the following call to action:
"At WIN we are committed to fostering gender equality, supporting professional growth, and amplifying the voices of women worldwide. This year’s International Women’s Day theme, 'Inspire Inclusion,' reminds us that true progress happens when we actively create opportunities, uplift each other, and champion diversity at every level.
"How can you support women in our industry?
- Mentor and uplift emerging leaders
- Advocate for equal opportunities in your organization
- Celebrate and recognize women’s contributions
- Join WIN and be part of the movement!
"Together, let’s shape a more inclusive, innovative, and thriving industry for all. As we celebrate International Women’s Day, let’s commit to transforming inspiration into action—championing mentorship, advocating for equity, and creating lasting opportunities for women in nutraceuticals and beyond."

Daniel Fabricant, Ph.D., President and CEO of the Natural Products Association (NPA), sparked conversation and raised awareness on LinkedIn with an update on state efforts to age-restrict access to nutritional supplements. One of the latest efforts: Maryland HB 0884, which would prohibit the sale of over-the-counter weight loss dietary supplements (particularly those marketed for weight loss or muscle building) to individuals under 18. The bill requires retailers to limit customer access to such supplements (these products will need to be securely stored and not directly accessible to customers) and to verify age for remote sales. Retailers who violate these regulations could be subject to civil penalties. Dr. Fabricant spoke against the legislation to the Maryland House Health and Government Operations Committee, and posted on LinkedIn:
“During my tenure as the chief regulator of dietary supplements we took enforcement of the law seriously. That has continued to ring true since the creation of Office Of Dietary Supplements. States such as Maryland continue to peddle misinformation that the industry is unregulated, supplements are as dangerous as tobacco and alcohol, and FDA has failed consumers. Glad I had the opportunity to set the record straight during today’s hearing.”
Visit NPA’s Action Center for more on this and other efforts, and to add your voice to the conversation. Then, on May 8, join NPA’s Annual Fly-in Day of advocacy. Members of the natural products industry will travel to the nation's capital to meet with members of Congress and their staffs to discuss the public policy impacting the industry and the millions of individuals who participate in a daily dietary supplement regiment. Learn more about the event, and how to register, in NPA Sets Date for Fly-in Day 2025.
Dr. Jacqueline Jacques was spreading the feel-good vibes on LinkedIn with a stunning photo of a double rainbow and a great reminder for friends and colleagues as they scrolled their LinkedIn feeds:
"Thought I would share this incredible show of nature that happened by my home yesterday. Please go back to business as usual, but remember there is a little bit of magic out there that can appear when you least expect it."
