A Certified Grassfed program is now available to farmers and ranchers through Animal Welfare Approved. The group says its certification is the only one in the United States and Canada to require a 100% grassfed and forage diet, environmental management, farm animal welfare and high-welfare handling, transport, and slaughter of animals, including an annual review of slaughter facilities.
Shriners Hospitals for Children announced that its newest “Love to the rescue” partner is Enjoy Life Foods, Schiller Park, IL. The company, recently acquired by Mondelez International, will help raise awareness of the hospital’s mission through Walk for LOVE, a series of community walks and family festivals held across the country.
