Chapel Hill, NC--Seal the Seasons, a company that provides frozen locally grown produce, announced their partnership with the Midwest retailer Meijer.
According to the press release, Meijer is the first Midwest retailer to sell Seal the Seasons frozen local fruit. They will be carrying the following non-GMO, no sugar added, frozen fruit products: Michigan Blueberries, Michigan Sliced Peaches, Michigan/Ohio Cherry Berry Blend, Michigan/Ohio Peach Berry Blend, Michigan Dark Sweet Cherries, Michigan Mixed Cherries, Michigan Cherry Apple Blueberry, and Wisconsin Cranberries.
Seal the Seasons partners with regional farmers to buy their fruit in season, freeze and package it, and then sell it in neighboring grocery stores. Over the past 6 months they have expanded into the Northeast, Midwest, Pacific Northwest and Pacific Southwest, according to the press release.
