Washington—Bluebird Botanicals announced that it is among thef 13 companies to receive The U.S. Hemp Authority Certification Seal for meeting standards in quality and safety in the hemp industry.
The press release states that the seal represents these companies' ability to ensure that consumers have safe and accurate labels on all hemp products, work with federal and state regulators and law enforcement, and provide safe, quality products.
The 13 companies awarded are:

- Balanced Health Botanicals, Louisville, CO
- HD Distribution, Louisville, CO
- Bluebird Botanicals, Louisville, CO
- CV Sciences, San Diego, CA
- MetaCan, Roswell, GA
- GenCanna, Winchester, KY
- Shell Farms, Winchester, KY
- Nature’s Hemp Oil, Lexington, KY
- Hempworx, Las Vegas, NV
- Barlean’s, Ferndale, WA
The certification program was established in 2018. Marielle Weintraub, PhD, president of the U.S. Hemp Authority, explains the importance of this seal in the press release: “As the market for hemp-derived products undergoes rapid growth, it is critically important for us to signal to the world that we intend to act responsibly. Quality assurance and safety must come first, and that’s why we set off on this journey. Creating these standards was a long journey, but after thousands of pages of public and stakeholder input and countless hours of hard work, we are thrilled to announce our first awardees today.”
