Oakland, CA—In celebration of Earth Day,Numi Organic Tea has pledged to go carbon neutral by 2023. The company explained in a press release that it will use a combination of emission reductions and offsets to achieve the goal.
Reem Hassani, Chief Brand Officer and Co-Founder of Numi Organic Tea commented in the release: “My brother Ahmed and I founded Numi with the goal of creating a business that could be a force for good. We realize going carbon neutral by 2023 is an audacious goal, but we are committed to leading by example. In addition to calling on our peers to join us, we are asking our customers to vote with their dollars and support companies that commit to making a positive effort in tackling this existential threat."
Numi Organic Tea is taking strides toward cleaning the earth with its new plant-based tea wrappers, according to the release. Numi also has been recognized for its climate leadership by organizations with the Outstanding Influencer Award, NEXTY Gold Award and the NEXTY Award Finalist for Best Environmentally Responsible Packaging.
