Natural Grocers got its start in 1955, when owners Margaret and Philip Isely, went door-to-door selling whole grain bread and loaning out books on nutrition to neighbors to help educate on healthy living. Today, the grocery chain spans 20 states and works to empower local communities to take charge of their health and purchase sustainably produced foods.
"As the second and third generation of Iselys to operate Natural Grocers, we are honored to preserve the legacy our parents created as leaders in the organic and natural food industry," saidKemper Isely, Natural Grocers Co-President, in the release. "Since the beginning, we've been rooted in health and have looked toward our Founding Principles when making business decisions that impact our Crew and our customers.
