Kutztown, PA—On August 12-13, 2020, Rodale Institute hosted members of the media and influencers in the food and farming space at multiple campuses in Eastern PA. The exclusive tour gave attendees the chance to meet Rodale Institute researchers and staff. Among the attendees were representatives from Civil Eats, The Counter, and Green Philly.
On the first day, guests were invited to a farm-to-table dinner at the Rodale Institute Founders Farm provided by Dundore & Heister. Afterwords, they toured the original family home of founder J.I. Rodale and the site of his original 1940s experiments in Emmaus, PA.

On the second day, guests visited Rodale Institute’s 333-acre headquarters in Kutztown, PA for a wagon tour and presentations on Rodale Institute’s research, farmer training, and consumer education programs. Featured presentations included the Farming Systems Trial, a 40-year old comparison study, as well as conversations with Rodale Institute’s consultants who are working to help transition farmers to organic through the help of the PA Farm Bill. Attendees also heard presentations on human health, nutrient density, industrial hemp, and pastured pork.
