Cerritos, CA—Korean Ginseng Corp. (KGC) and its CheongKwanJang ginseng brand hosted a grand opening event at its new Ginseng Museum Café, located at 315 5thStreet, on the corner of 32ndStreet and 5thAvenue in Manhattan, New York, on September 14th, according to a press release.
Ginseng Museum Café introduces guests to the thousand-year history and efficacy of ginseng, one of South Korea’s first-ever export products. Using immersive digital animation, the museum hopes to provide each visitor with a unique ginseng experience, the press release states, the highlight of which is the opportunity to taste the museum’s specialty: draft 24-hour fresh-brewed pure ginseng extract.
Nae Soo Kim, KGC’s Head Director of Global Business, said in the press release: “We are particularly grateful for the opportunity to introduce the culture of Korean Red Ginseng on 32ndStreet, the street that best symbolizes the historic role of Korea in the United States. Our wish is that people from all around the world can learn about, experience, and bring home the natural and cultural wonder that is Korean Red Ginseng.”
Heather Wainer, Publisher ofWholeFoodsMagazine, attended the opening. Her take: “It was an honor to be invited and to get to experience the opening of the Museum in Koreatown. Learning more about Ginseng Extraction was informative—I learned a lot about the different ways to use Ginseng. And I love the conversations about how Ginseng is beneficial for so many things, not just energy. I look forward to continuing to learn more about Ginseng.”
Entry into the museum café is free and open to the public from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday – Saturday, closing at 6 p.m. on Sundays.
