Dr. Guandalini, professor emeritus, Founder and Director Emeritus of the University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center, formerly the Chief of Pediatric Gastroenterology at the University of Chicago, is among the top 5% of doctors in the U.S. since 2008 by Castle Connolly, an organization that researches and publishes an annual ranking. A press release on the topic adds that Dr. Guandalini has authored more than 200 publications in peer-reviewed journals and contributed more than 30 chapters to various gastroenterology books. His major research interests are in celiac disease and in the use of probiotics in children.
