Rajinder K. Bammi, Ph.D., friend and mentor to Sabinsa Corporation of East Windsor, NJ, passed away in mid-December. Sabinsa credits Bammi with being “one of the primary people responsible for Sabinsa’s portfolio of health-enhancing ingredients”

Bammi played several important roles at Sabinsa and Sami Labs throughout his tenure there, which included president of Sabinsa R&D (1997–1999), director and president of Sami Labs (1999–2007) and chairman (2007–present).

Stated company founder Muhammed Majeed, Ph.D., “[Dr. Bammi] made innumerable contributions in the growth of the company and was an integral part of the R&D efforts upon which our success is based. We will all miss him enormously.”

Bammi will be remembered for not only his brilliance as a scientist, but also for being kind, gracious, perseverant and always doing the right thing, advocating especially for quality in research and science. He often told friends and colleagues, “Try not to fail, but don’t fail to try.”
