Hyde, vice-president and general manager of Human Nutrition and Pharma at Balchem Corporation, New Hampton, NY,has been elected chairman of the Board of Directors for the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN). CRN is the leading trade association for the dietary supplement and functional food industry, representing more than 150 companies. Hyde has served on the CRN’s Executive Committee for the last five years.With his election, Hyde brings 20 years of experience in the dietary supplement industry to CRN. Hyde served as vice president and general counsel for Albion Minerals before being appointed CEO from 2001 to 2016. Albion Minerals is the leading manufacturer of specialty minerals for human and plant nutrition industries. When Balchem acquired Albion Minerals in 2016, Hyde assumed his current position as vice president and general manager of Human Nutrition and Pharma at Balchem, which provides premium ingredients and technology systems for humans, animals and plants, and other industries.
Jim C. Hyde will hold the chairman position through 2018.
